    Brett Brodnax
    President & Chief Executive Officer
    Brett joined USPI in 1999. Since then, he has served as Senior Vice President (SVP), Executive Vice President (EVP), Chief Development Officer and President. Brett became Chief Executive Officer in November 2018. Prior to joining USPI, Brett was an Assistant Vice President (AVP) at Baylor Health Care System. Brett is a graduate from Texas A&M where he received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in industrial engineering. He also received a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from The University of Texas at Dallas.

    Chief Financial Officer
    Owen joined USPI as Chief Financial Officer in May 2019. Prior to joining USPI, he served as Managing Director and the head of the Healthcare Real Estate practice at Goldman, Sachs & Co. Owen received his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas and his M.B.A. from the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University.

    Chief Operating Officer
    Mark joined USPI in 2001. He has participated in numerous senior operational roles including Senior Vice President (SVP) Operations. He joined USPI through the acquisition of OrthoLink Physicians Corporation where he was a founding member of the senior management team. Mark completed his Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing at the University of Kentucky and his MBA at the University of South Carolina.

    Margie Arion
    Vice President & Chief Human Resources Officer
    Margie serves as Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer for Tenet Hospital Operations, Tenet Physician Resources (TPR), and USPI. Prior to joining Tenet, she spent 27 years in senior HR leadership roles assisting organizations in a variety of industries to design and deliver talent strategies and solutions that drive business performance, including her role as Chief Human Resources Officer for Acosta. Prior to Acosta, she spent 15 years at PepsiCo, holding various domestic and international HR leadership roles, including Senior Vice President of Global HR Transformation. Margie earned a bachelor of science in business administration from Cleary University and a master of science degree in industrial and organizational psychology from Walden University.

    Chief Compliance Officer
    Paul joined USPI in 2019 as Chief Compliance Officer. Most recently, Paul has served as Senior Director, Compliance and Privacy Officer at Conifer. Prior to his time at Conifer, he served in various leadership positions at Steward Health Care in Dallas, Geisinger Health Plan in Pennsylvania, and Lovelace Health System in New Mexico. Paul is a graduate of Ohio State University and received his MBA from Liberty University.
  • Stuart Simon, MD
    Stuart Simon, MD
    Medical Director
    Dr. Simon is a member of the Pinnacle Clinical Governance Board and is Co-Divisional Manager of Physicians Anesthesia Practice. He serves as a member of the Pinnacle Human Resources Committee. Dr. Simon has been an Attending Anesthesiologist at Baylor University Medical Center for over 20 years and is a Clinical Assistant Professor at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. He is currently Chairman of the Department of Anesthesiology at North Central Surgical Center and has been the Medical Director of that institution since its inception. Dr. Simon received his medical degree from The University of Mississippi School of Medicine.

    Eric joined CareSpot in September 2011 and boasts a diverse background in healthcare with almost 20 years of experience. Prior to CareSpot, he served as vice president of development at Renal Advantage. He also served as Vice President at Ardent Health Services, where he provided advisory services on emergency room operations, including work flow issues, and acquisition and divestiture initiatives. Prior to Ardent Health Services, Eric was Vice President of the healthcare investment banking division at Credit Suisse First Boston.

    President, USPI Medical Imaging Group
    Dale joined USPI in January 2016 where he serves as President of the Medical Imaging Group. Prior to joining USPI, Dale served as Vice President of the Tenet Healthcare Outpatient Services Division. Before that, Dale was Principal and COO of AmMed Inc. from 1989 to 2007. Dale received his Bachelors in Radiology and Healthcare Administration from The University of South Alabama. He is an active member of the Radiology Business Manager Association and Association of Healthcare Radiology Administrators.
