United Surgical Partners International is proud to develop and operate surgical centers and hospitals with some of the nation’s premiere physicians and non-profit health systems.
The Government Relations staff is working hard to ensure that the voice of the physician-owned ASC and surgical hospital is heard. However, the most effective way to accomplish this effort is by working collaboratively with our physicians, hospital partners, staff and patients. One of the ways we can work together is by contacting and communicating with our elected officials.
We hope the AdvocacyEDGE provides you with an effective tool to be more engaged in our advocacy efforts. You will find the latest issues facing our industry as well as USPI’s position on these issues. Up to date legislative alerts and materials to help you contact elected officials are included for (1) physician ownership in hospitals and (2) the ASC fee schedule. The site also includes suggested letters that can be edited and sent via email to your elected official in less than 5 minutes.

- USPI will actively participate on the Federal and State levels on legislative issues that impact our partners, our business, and our industry.
Desired Outcome
- Ensure that policy makers at all levels understand the critical role that ASCs and surgical hospitals play in meeting America’s growing healthcare needs.
- Ensure that policy makers clearly understand that free market competition is critical to continued innovative, high quality and efficient healthcare delivery.
- Ensure that USPI physician partners and employees are fully engaged in the company’s advocacy efforts.
